I have been teaching my kids Native American Sign language and symbols for years now, and I have never come across so many pics, in such a wide variety, in one place, before. Thank you for all of the leg work and research and for sharing. It will be put to good use, for years to come. You're awesome!!

Can you tell me which tribes these symbols are from? How did they use these symbols? Who used them and when? Are they still used?

why does one set of symbols have the man and woman symbol be the exact same except for the woman having long hair- I thought hair was kept long for most tribes. Is this BS I smell??

@blacknwhitestripe because for certain tribes only the women wore their hair long, while the men shaved all or parts of their hair. The "long" hair on the woman could also be indicative of dual braids, rather than just long hair.
